As we continue to expand our operations, we're seeking a skilled and service-driven Customer Care Coordinator who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and being a reliable partner to both our customers and our operations team. Position Overview The Customer Care Coordinator will support daily freight operations by serving as a primary point of contact for customers, maintaining accurate load information, and ensuring clear communication throughout the shipment lifecycle. This role requires strong logistics knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude. Key Responsibilities
  • Enter and manage customer orders in the TMS, ensuring all shipment details, pricing, and documentation are accurate
  • Provide customer quotes and evaluate pricing requests in accordance with company margin guidelines
  • Communicate with shippers to confirm freight readiness, pickup details, and any additional shipment requirements
  • Gather shipment details such as dimensions, weights and special handling requirements to ensure accurate quoting and planning.
  • Send required paperwork and shipping documentation to customers and shipper contacts
  • Monitor incoming emails and respond to customer inquiries or shipment updates in a timely manner
  • Notify customers when shipments are picked up, in transit, and delivered
  • Maintain accurate records of order details, customer communications, and shipment documentation
  • Create tracking sheets and assist with coordination for larger projects or multi-load shipments
  • Plan and map routes for shipments with multiple pickup or delivery stops
  • Work closely with dispatchers to ensure shipments are executed smoothly and customers receive proactive updates
  • Take ownership of assigned shipments from order entry through delivery, ensuring accuracy, communication and a high level of service throughout the process
  • Identify potential shipment issues and work proactively with dispatch and customers to resolve them before they impact delivery Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or related customer service role preferred Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork, accountability, and professionalism Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using TMS systems, Outlook, VoIP systems, and Excel/Sheets Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
