Job Description

Customer Account Manager Lead. Connect. Make a Difference. At Aaron's, our Customer Account Managers play a critical role in helping customers reach their goal of ownership while helping lead the success of the store. As the leader of our Customer Accounts Department, you'll build relationships with customers, coach and support your team, manage account activity, and help customers stay on track with their lease agreements. This is a people-focused leadership position . You'll have important conversations, solve problems, make decisions and work closely with the General Manager to keep the store running successfully. You'll also have the opportunity to learn the business from the inside out and develop the skills needed to take the next step in your career. What You'll DoLead the Customer Accounts Team Lead and support the Customer Accounts team in achieving daily, weekly and monthly goals Coach team members and help them develop their customer-service and account-management skills Monitor account activity, payment schedules and lease renewals Help the team achieve company standards for collections and lease renewals Step in as the second-in-command to the General Manager when needed Assist the General Manager with store operations and decision-making Build Customer Relationships Build genuine relationships with customers and understand their individual needs Help customers stay on track toward ownership Contact customers regarding payments and lease renewals Have respectful, productive conversations with customers when accounts become past due Use empathy, listening and problem-solving skills to find solutions Maintain customer contact by phone and, when necessary, through home visits Keep customer information accurate and up to date Manage Accounts & Agreements Maintain accurate customer account information in our computer system Document customer payment appointments and account activity Review payment frequency and payment history Assist with account recommendations and other operational functions Review and close lease agreements Verify customer identification, collect payments and obtain required signatures Contact customers who have not renewed their merchandise agreements Support the Store At Aaron's, everyone works together.

Assist the Sales Team when needed Clean and certify merchandise returned to the store Load, secure and protect merchandise in company vehicles Safely operate company vehicles Complete daily route sheets and weekly vehicle maintenance documentation Help move and organize merchandise Protect company assets and uphold the Aaron's brand Perform other reasonable duties as needed Skills for Success The best Customer Account Managers are people who genuinely enjoy working with other people. We'll provide training and help you learn the business. What You Need Must be at least 21 years old Valid state driver's license Satisfactory driving record and compliance with Aaron's Driver Qualification Policy Must meet applicable DOT requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Two years of college or two years of management experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional telephone etiquette Basic computer proficiency Ability to work a schedule that may vary between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently Ability to move up to 300 lbs. using a dolly and proper equipment Professional appearance and demeanor Your Career Can Grow Here The Customer Account Manager role is an opportunity to develop the leadership, sales, customer-service and operational skills needed to run a successful Aaron's store.
