Job Description

Purpose:
Primary accomplishments, products, and services, who benefits from them and how. Responsible for communication regarding customer orders both inside and outside the company and routing any questions/complaints to the appropriate personnel including Operations, Production, Quality, customers and vendors. Oversees and maintains customer orders. Discharge other duties and responsibilities as assigned by customer demand and/or Operations Manager.
Essential Duties:
What has to be done to achieve the desired results of the job.
  • Primary customer service contact for all assigned customers.
  • Receive, enter and manage new and change orders from customers. Process all related paperwork and other documentation. Acknowledge all order to customers.
  • Initiate Contract Review for sales / transfer orders. Includes pricing and revision reviews. Electronically file documents.
  • Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (quantity contracts / consignment) program (creating, managing open agreements).
  • Manage all customer communication regarding order status and expedite requests including supporting review of open order reports.
  • Manage customer portals.
  • Track customer satisfaction metrics and report feedback to management.
  • Maintain customer and supplier base, including price lists, updating as needed in ERP system.
  • Produce necessary documentation and reports for the status of customer orders.
  • Input quote data into the ERP system.
  • Provide phone call and data mining support as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
What is required to perform the Essential Duties?
  • Must be able to perform all duties and meet requirements with or without accommodation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to take an investigative, analytical approach to work, researching order history, reviewing material availability, and evaluating production schedules to confirm feasibility and delivery commitments.
  • Familiarity with ERP and information systems. Responsibilities include researching historical part and material data and supporting operational decision-making through system data.
  • Must have ability to successfully complete all training requirements listed on training matrix for this position
  • Must have excellent personal computer and data entry skills and background in record-keeping systems.
  • Must possess good customer service skills.
  • Must be available for scheduled work: normal work day of 8 hours, more or less hours as necessary, weekend work is possible but unlikely.

Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
