Customer Experience Designer Omaha Public Power District - 3.8 Omaha, NE Job Details Full-time $90,759 - $113,449 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Task prioritization Full Job Description Responsibilities Position Summary At OPPD, we're focused on delivering exceptional experiences to our customer-owners, and this role is at the center of that mission. The Customer Experience Designer will help shape and evolve the end-to-end customer journey by identifying opportunities, designing solutions, and driving meaningful improvements across the organization. This role blends data, design thinking, and collaboration to create experiences that are simple, effective, and aligned with customer needs. You'll work across teams to understand current processes, uncover pain points, and design solutions that enhance how customers interact with OPPD at every touchpoint. What You'll Do Analyze customer feedback, data, and trends to identify gaps and opportunities in the customer journey Lead and support the design and redesign of customer experiences across multiple touchpoints Partner with cross-functional teams to map processes and develop improved solutions Apply design thinking, agile, and continuous improvement approaches to drive innovation Facilitate workshops, gather insights, and help teams better understand the customer perspective Develop and track key metrics to measure success and improve outcomes Support CX-related initiatives, technology enhancements, and process improvements Act as a voice of the customer across the organization to influence decision-making What We're Looking For This role is less about checking every box and more about finding the right mindset and approach . We're looking for someone who is: A self-starter who takes initiative and isn't afraid to dig in Naturally curious and asks thoughtful questions Comfortable working through ambiguity and figuring things out Innovative and creative in solving problems Strong at building relationships and collaborating across teams Passionate about improving the customer experience Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field OR six years role specific experience Two or more years of demonstrated experience in customer experience analysis, customer service relationship and/or customer experience design. The incumbent must demonstrate effective planning, organizational, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively. The incumbent must be able to manage multiple priorities and concurrent assignments to complete work on time. Desired A working knowledge of OPPD's Customer Service (CS)/Energy Delivery (ED) business systems including Customer Information System (CIS); Outage Management Systems; OPPD's Electric Rate Schedules and Service Regulations. Master's Degree Project Management Experience Work Environment & Schedule Hybrid work environment In-office presence required on Thursdays (team collaboration day) Additional in-office time is flexible based on team and business needs Why OPPD This is a high-impact role where you'll have the opportunity to influence how OPPD serves its customers today and into the future.
