Food Manufacturer Location:
Hanover, PA (Hybrid)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00
PM Hybrid Days:
Monday & Friday remote
Additional Coverage:
Occasional Saturdays for vacation/high‑volume/project support

$19/hr About the Role As a Customer Service Coordinator supporting a leading food manufacturer, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to Independent Distributor Partners (IDPs), sales teams, and DSD operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, urgency, and professionalism while working in a fast‑paced environment. You'll take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and uphold a high standard of service in every interaction. Key Responsibilities Customer Support — Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries from IDPs, sales managers, and DSD operations; maintain accurate inquiry tracking. Order & System Processing — Process DSD plant/IDP setup changes, initiate plant closes, and support special order entry. Daily Auditing — Audit transactions using integrity reports; correct IDOC errors, interface issues, and open orders. Shared Inbox Management — Review and address shared email boxes and ServiceNow items daily. System Testing & Implementation — Assist with testing, supporting, and implementing new systems or process changes. Documentation — Document required work processes and maintain accurate records. Distributor Support — Support IDPs with order management, settlements, plant closes, call documentation, and issue escalation. Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Build strong relationships with sales, operations, plant teams, and distributors. Operational Support — Assist with product planning, cycle count changes, warehouse error reports, and drafting IDP communications. Other duties as assigned. Who You'll Work With Independent Distributor Partners (IDPs) Sales managers & DSD operations teams Cross‑functional sales and operations groups Plant teams supporting SAP processes What You Bring (Must‑Have Qualifications) Associate Degree or minimum 2 years of related experience Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask Ability to work with urgency, accuracy, and focus in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, workflow systems, and database tools (SAP preferred) Excellent communication skills and customer‑service mindset Professionalism, ownership, and commitment to continuous learning Ability to sit for extended periods, use phone/computer, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs Nice‑to‑Have Skills Experience supporting DSD operations or independent distributors Familiarity with IDOC troubleshooting, integrity reporting, or order management systems Experience drafting communications or supporting system implementations Cross‑functional support experience in CPG or distribution Ability to speak/understand
