Tenant Relations & Maintenance Coordinator Nest Properties -
Columbia, SC Area Pay:
This is a salary flexible position paying $600 per week, plus $20 for each completed property inspection.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.; occasional later hours and limited nights/weekends for emergency calls. The property inspections maybe completed during regular office hours. Job Overview Nest Properties is seeking a dependable, organized, and personable Tenant Relations & Maintenance Coordinator to serve as a primary point of contact for our residents. This position is ideal for someone who communicates well, remains calm while solving problems, and can confidently coordinate maintenance needs from the initial phone call through completion. The position combines office-based tenant communication with local property inspections and general property-management support. Responsibilities Answer incoming tenant calls regarding maintenance issues Listen carefully, gather relevant information, and determine the urgency of each request Enter and maintain accurate maintenance requests and notes Communicate maintenance needs to vendors and property-management staff Coordinate scheduling between tenants, vendors, and property owners when necessary Follow up with tenants and vendors to confirm that repairs have been completed Keep tenants informed throughout the maintenance process Respond professionally to resident questions and concerns Conduct routine property inspections at homes throughout the Columbia-area market Take clear photographs and prepare accurate inspection documentation Identify and report property damage, lease violations, safety concerns, or needed repairs Assist with other tenant-relations and property-management responsibilities as needed Monitor and respond appropriately to emergency maintenance calls during assigned nights and weekends Qualifications Excellent telephone and customer-service skills Strong written and verbal communication Organized, dependable, and able to follow through without constant supervision Comfortable handling frustrated tenants and challenging conversations professionally Able to prioritize urgent issues and manage multiple open requests Detail-oriented when documenting calls, repairs, and inspections Comfortable learning property-management and maintenance-tracking software Previous experience in customer service, property management, maintenance coordination, or a related position is preferred Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally for property inspections Compensation $600 per week An additional $20 for each completed property inspection Hours and Availability The primary schedule is Monday through Friday from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Some days may require additional hours depending on maintenance needs and inspection scheduling. The employee must also be available to monitor and respond to assigned emergency calls during nights and weekends. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
