Job Summary Our current service manager will be completing school in December for a separate career in aviation and will be seeking a new experienced Powersports Service Manager to lead our service department, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and operational excellence. In this role, you will oversee daily service operations, manage a team of skilled technicians, and drive revenue growth through effective upselling and service sales. Your mechanical expertise and leadership skills will be vital in maintaining high standards of vehicle repair, diagnostics, and maintenance for a wide range of powersports equipment including motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the service team to deliver top-quality repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance services while fostering a positive work environment. Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and ensuring timely completion of repairs. Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle needs. Drive sales by upselling additional services such as oil changes, tire services, suspension repairs, brake repairs, transmissions, shocks & struts, air brakes, and collision repairs. Ensure all technicians adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with dealership standards and manufacturer guidelines. Manage client communication throughout the repair process to ensure transparency and high customer satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed service writing records for all repairs performed. Requirements Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, and vehicle maintenance. Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of auto service management systems and estimating software. Familiarity with powersports equipment including motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc., is highly preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of service technicians effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures such as oil changes, tire services, suspension work, brake repairs, transmission servicing, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems, collision repair processes, and automotive diagnostics. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential for test drives and vehicle assessments. Proficiency in using estimating software like Auto Estimating or similar platforms; familiarity with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is a plus.
