Full-time Important Schedule Requirement This is not a rigid 3 PM-11 PM position. The normal schedule is 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, but supervisors must be able to adjust their start/end times when staffing conditions require it. If a cleaner calls out and a floater cannot cover the opening, the supervisor may be required to adjust their schedule or personally provide coverage. Call-outs, special events or gaps in floater coverage may require an earlier start, later finish or temporary coverage of another cleaning position. Position Summary Clark Professional Cleaning is hiring a Site Cleaning Supervisor to lead a high-visibility cleaning team at a busy hospitality and entertainment facility in downtown Norfolk. This position requires much more than knowing how to clean. The Site Supervisor is responsible for quality control, staffing coverage, customer service, team leadership, employee accountability and protecting the client experience. You will work inside an active facility around customers and client representatives throughout your shift. We are looking for someone who understands that leadership means being willing to inspect the restroom—and clean the restroom when necessary. Supervisory Responsibilities The Site Supervisor will: Assign and adjust employee work areas Inspect completed and ongoing cleaning work Conduct quality-control checks throughout the facility Respond immediately to spills and urgent service requests Coordinate breaks and maintain adequate coverage Monitor restroom conditions and supply levels Reassign employees when volume changes Communicate professionally with client representatives Document issues and activity through company systems, including Swept Coach employees and provide corrective feedback Address attendance, performance and behavioral issues Reinforce uniform, safety, communication and customer-service standards Manage employee call-outs Contact management when escalation is necessary Personally perform cleaning work when staffing or operating conditions require it Help train new employees Maintain equipment and supply readiness Ensure the team works safely and follows OSHA and company procedures Help ensure cleaning work does not unnecessarily disrupt facility operations Leadership Standard We would rather develop a reliable, accountable and coachable leader than hire someone with years of cleaning experience and a poor attitude. Previous experience in janitorial services, hospitality, housekeeping, entertainment venues, team leadership or supervision is preferred—but we are willing to train a strong candidate with demonstrated leadership potential. Customer Service Is Non-Negotiable The supervisor sets the tone for the entire team.You must be able to:
Speak professionally with customers and client personnel Resolve issues calmly Coach employees respectfully but directly Remain composed when short-staffed Maintain confidentiality and discretion Hold people accountable Lead from the front Poor customer service, chronic attendance issues and unprofessional conduct are incompatible with this position. Smoking Environment This position operates inside an indoor smoking facility . Cigarette and cigar smoke may be present throughout your shift. The supervisor must be able and willing to work in that environment for a complete shift. Job Qualifications Education and work history that demonstrates work ethic and responsibility. Must have ability to work independently and as a team member. Must care about quality. Must be detailed oriented and work at an efficient pace. Must be reliable. Able to lift 50 pounds. Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching. Must have reliable transportationBenefits:
