HVAC Service Manager $90,000
- $120,000 annual salary This position reports daily to Rocky Mount, VA
YOUR NEW ROLE
Our HVAC Service Manager is accountable for the bottom-line profitability of the service team. This role works closely with team leaders to control costs through the efficient management of technicians, equipment, and scheduling, while ensuring staff performance, budget goals, and operational standards are consistently met from both the company's and client's perspective. This position reports to the Service Leader and is responsible for the performance of team leads and field personnel. The incumbent may have direct and/or indirect oversight responsibilities for multiple staff members. Key stakeholders include the executive team, warehouse manager, technicians, customers and vendors/suppliers.JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent 3 years HVAC service or skilled-trades experience Previous management or supervisory experience Strong leadership and employee development skills Experience managing budgets, expenses, and job profitability Strong scheduling, staffing, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and organizational skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing HVAC service technicians and/or team leads Experience with service-industry KPIs and performance metrics Experience with job costing and financial forecasting Experience developing and implementing employee training programs Experience with apprentice development and progression Experience managing field operations, equipment, and company assetsKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
40%Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, coach, and develop team leaders and technicians; ensure performance goals and operational standards are met; conduct team meetings, one-on-ones, ride-alongs, and performance evaluations. 25%Business Management & Profitability:
Manage expenses, staffing levels, supply chain, equipment maintenance, budgets, forecasts, and job costing to maintain profitability and budget goals. 20%Training & Development:
Create, coordinate, and implement effective training programs tailored to the needs and learning abilities of team members. 15%
