Job Description

Customer Experience Manager 307 Meat Company | Laramie, Wyoming Job type: Full-time, in person Starting salary: $23-$26/hr. or $48,000 to $60,000 annually, offered wage will be dependent on experience level.
Schedule:
M-F 8:30am to 4:30pm with additional hours and some weekend work as needed About the positionWe are seeking a Customer Experience Manager to make every interaction with 307 Meat Company professional, welcoming, and well organized. As a primary customer contact and the link between customers and plant management, you'll guide customers through the entire processing experience—from their first inquiry and slaughter appointment to cutting instructions, invoicing, pickup, and follow-up.

This position combines relationship building with hands-on operational responsibility. You'll proactively fill available processing appointments, ensure customer instructions are accurate and clearly communicated, verify that products and services are billed correctly, and keep customers informed throughout the process.

We're looking for someone who anticipates needs, takes ownership of problems, and follows through on commitments—someone who makes customers feel valued and confident that every detail is being handled.

Key responsibilitiesCustomer communication and follow-through
  • Answer incoming calls and promptly return voicemails, texts, and emails.
  • Maintain a complete, accurate log of customer communications, requests, concerns, and follow-up activities.
  • Take ownership of questions and concerns until they are resolved or appropriately referred to another member of management.
  • Follow up to confirm that questions have been answered, concerns addressed, and company commitments fulfilled.
  • Help customers understand processing options and what to expect at each stage. Processing schedules and customer outreach
  • Manage the slaughter calendar to fill available weekly processing capacity.
  • Proactively call past, current, and prospective customers to fill open appointments and support targeted processing volume.
  • Schedule value-added processing and coordinate customer needs with production and plant management.
  • Accurately track customer livestock, products, processing information, inventory, and order status. Cutting instructions and production coordination
  • Collect cutting instructions within required time frames and review them for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify special requests, clarify missing information, and ensure instructions are entered and updated in the company's online system.
  • Clearly communicate customer requests and important processing details to plant management and production employees.
  • Coordinate across departments so customer expectations and production requirements are understood and fulfilled. Invoicing, inventory, and accountability
  • Prepare accurate, timely invoices for processing services and product purchases.
  • Review supporting records to ensure all products, services, fees, and special requests are charged correctly.
  • Answer invoice questions and coordinate payment, finished-product pickup, and customer load-out.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and transaction records for retail products and employee meat purchases.
  • Update customer, processing, wholesale, and retail pricing as directed by the President.
  • Monitor inventory and transactions for billing errors, losses, unauthorized discounts, and unrecorded product movement.
  • Promptly report discrepancies or suspected irregularities to the President. County fairs and community representation
  • Coordinate county fair processing with customers, livestock buyers, fair personnel, company management, and production employees.
  • Attend designated county fairs and work directly with buyers, exhibitors, families, and fair representatives.
  • Represent 307 Meat Company professionally at community functions and livestock-processing events.
  • Assist with weekend livestock deliveries and related operational needs. Website, social media, and process improvement
  • Maintain current website information, including services, customer forms, pricing, and other assigned content.
  • Create and manage social media content that communicates our products, services, and company updates.
  • Help develop procedures that improve customer communication, scheduling accuracy, recordkeeping, billing, and accountability.
  • Protect confidential customer, employee, financial, and company information.
  • Support daily team needs, including keeping employee drinks and snacks stocked and organized. What we're looking for
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
  • Excellent organization, accuracy, and consistent follow-through.
  • Confidence making outbound customer calls and managing multiple priorities.
  • Comfort working with online systems, customer records, invoicing, websites, and social media.
  • Willingness to learn meat-processing terminology, cutting instructions, and product options.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to resolve problems.
  • Willingness to assist customers with load-out and help the team where needed.
Compensation and schedule The starting salary will be based on previous experience and interview. A performance and compensation review will take place after approximately six months. Based on performance, fulfillment of responsibilities, and company operational needs, salary may increase. An increase is not guaranteed. The position is Monday through Friday generally from 8:30am to 4:30pm, with additional hours when needed. Some weekend work and attendance at designated county fairs and community events are required. You must be reasonably available by phone and text during business hours and outside normal hours when needed for weekend livestock deliveries, county fairs, or urgent customer matters. The company will provide a cell phone or a monthly stipend for required business use of a personal phone. Benefits
  • Paid sick leave: Six days per year, with accrual beginning after six months of employment and a maximum accumulated balance of 12 days.
  • Paid vacation: Vacation accrual begins after six months at five days per year, increasing to 10 days per year after one year of employment. Maximum accumulated balance is 20 days.
SIMPLE IRA
Eligibility after 90 days, with a dollar-for-dollar employer match of employee contributions up to 3% of eligible wages. Participation requires completion of enrollment requirements.
