Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Body Shop Administrator to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will oversee the administrative functions of the collision repair shop, ensuring smooth operations from customer intake to vehicle delivery. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help enhance customer satisfaction, streamline workflow, and support the shop's overall success. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for automotive repair and excellent client communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Duties Manage all administrative tasks related to collision repairs, including scheduling appointments, processing estimates, and coordinating with technicians and insurance companies Assist customers by providing clear explanations of repair processes, costs, and timelines to ensure a positive experience Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance, tire services, alignments, or mechanical repairs to maximize shop revenue Handle cash transactions, invoicing, and billing with precision and integrity Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts orders, and customer interactions for seamless workflow and reporting purposes Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status updates and ensure timely completion of repairs Requirements Proven experience in dealership or automotive service management, collision repair, or auto body shop administration Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and diesel engine repair Experience with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is essential Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and service writing practices to accurately document repairs Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving is an integral part of the role Mechanical experience or background as a service technician is a strong plus for understanding technical aspects of repairs Join us as a Body Shop Administrator where your energy fuels our success!
