Job Description

Marana is one of the fastest growing communities in Southern Arizona, located approximately 20 minutes northwest of downtown Tucson and 75 minutes southeast of Phoenix. The Town of Marana is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to work in the Finance Department assisting in the reception desk and payment center. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to the department, general public and staff, while processing payments in a fast-paced environment. Expected Hiring Range :
$18.76 - $22.98 per hour Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range:
$18.76 - $27.21 per hour Provides town-wide customer service; answers and directs calls utilizing a multi-line phone system. Provides service and direction to the general public, employees and visitors. Provides administrative support; maintains and updates calendars; orders office supplies; files, copies, faxes, emails scans documents. Processes and distributes incoming/outgoing mail and packages. Processes and administers fleet pool vehicles. Maintains and distributes monthly reports. Creates and follows up on maintenance requests. Processes payments in multiple software platforms. Manages and balances cash drawers within multiple payment systems. Maintains security of cash drawer and cash negotiable items. High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training. Over one year experience performing customer service and clerical duties within an office environment and/or over one year experience cashiering . Must be an Arizona Notary Public or must obtain within 3 months of hire. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to speak and comprehend Spanish Skilled in utilizing multi-line phones Knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel Experience with payment/accounting software programs
