Our office in Camarillo, CA is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to support our busy sales team. The position manages the details of all projects from sourcing and development to delivery, while maintaining synergistic relationships with CPS's customers and supply partners. The ideal candidate has a strong business judgement, intermediate Microsoft office skills and the ability to support multiple priorities concurrently. They are one of the key links in communication with our customers and supply base for order/inventory questions. The individual works closely with our supply base and on-site warehouse to ensure that every order is processed and delivered. The candidate must work well with a team of people who are committed to supporting CPS's values. Key Tasks Enter and process incoming orders - EDI, web portal based, e-mail and telephone. Monitor order progress to ensure all critical stages are completed within agreed upon timeline. Responsible for expediting order changes and negotiating with customers. Responsible for entering and expediting flow of information regarding specifications, orders, and customer requirements to supply base. Update customers of order status as appropriate. Ensure accuracy of files by maintaining up to date specification files and price changes. Maintain price quote system and credibility. Communicate with the Sales Representatives on a regular basis regarding activities within their respective accounts. Manage and maintain customer finished goods inventory where appropriate. Prepare and submit RFQ's to suppliers for quotations - including specifications, drawings, pictures, graphics and reference materials. Review and verify aerospace quality clauses, government flow-downs, and contractual compliance requirements. Requirements At least 5 years of previous customer service, sourcing, or sales experience in an office environment is required. Proven experience working within the aerospace industry or navigating federal government/defense contract workflows. Understanding of corrugated manufacturing capabilities, product knowledge, case and foam experience, and truck utilization to respond to customer needs. Clear written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to handle telephone conversations, listening, and communicating. Computer experience using spreadsheets, database, and word processing software; such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent math, time management and organizational skills. Able to remain flexible and adapt to the situation and provide either leadership or follow instructions and work independently. Enthusiastic, customer focused, self-motivated, innovative and aggressive. Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical thinking skills. Preferred Skills/Qualifications Operates well in a technical capacity in a teamwork oriented environment which requires consistent and clear communication. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as AS9100, ITAR, FAR/DFARS, or DPAS priority ratings. Experience with EDI / Customer Portal Management Systems. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). NetSuite a plus.
