Job Description

Airport Road Storage & U-Haul Associate - Job Description Provide excellent customer service, manage storage unit rentals, process U-Haul equipment rentals, and maintain a clean, safe facility. This role combines front-office customer interaction with light physical tasks and basic facility upkeep. Key Responsibilities - Customer Service & Sales Greet customers, provide information about storage units and U-Haul rentals. Assist customers with rental contracts, payments, move-ins/move-outs Promote storage unit options, packing materials, and U-Haul services. Handle customer issues professionally and escalate when needed. U-Haul Rentals & Equipment Create, modify, and complete U-Haul reservations and rentals using the U-Haul POS system. Inspect trucks and trailers before checkout and upon return. Perform basic equipment checks (fuel levels, mileage, cleanliness). Ensure equipment is safely parked and ready for the next customer. Facility Operations Keep the office, grounds, and storage areas clean and organized. Perform lock checks and routine walk-throughs of property. Monitor security systems and report maintenance needs. Assist with unit maintenance (sweeping, minor repairs, replacing locks). Administrative Tasks Process payments, rent storage units, rent U-Haul trucks and trailers Manage daily opening/closing routines. Use computer software for inventory, rentals, and customer accounts. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, U-Haul dealer software a plus). Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs and perform light physical tasks. Valid driver's license (for moving U-Haul trucks). Reliability, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience (Not Required) Experience in self-storage, retail, or rental services. Familiarity with U-Haul operations or equipment. Cash-handling or sales experience. Experience in trailer hookups. Work Environment Combination of office and outdoor work.

5 days per week including Saturday - 37.50 hours per week
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
