Non-Exempt Position Summary C&H Enterprises is seeking a Customer Service Representative with experience in a CNC machine shop, aerospace, semiconductor, or similar precision manufacturing environment . This is not a traditional retail or call-center customer service position . The ideal candidate understands the pace, terminology, priorities, and customer requirements associated with a precision manufacturing environment and is comfortable working closely with Production, Operations, Quality, Shipping, and other internal teams. The Customer Service Representative will manage customer orders, provide order and delivery updates, communicate customer requirements internally, and help ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on schedule.INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Candidates should have previous experience in one or more of the following environments: CNC machine shop Precision machining Aerospace manufacturing Semiconductor manufacturing Electronics or high-tech manufacturing Contract manufacturing Similar high-precision manufacturing environment Candidates whose experience is limited to retail, restaurants, call centers, or general customer service without manufacturing experience may not be considered. Essential Responsibilities Process and maintain customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate with customers by phone, email, and customer portals. Respond to customer inquiries and provide professional, non-technical problem resolution. Provide customers with updates regarding order status, delivery schedules, and other applicable information. Work closely with Production and Operations to obtain accurate information regarding production status and delivery dates. Attend production meetings to obtain updates on scheduling, production status, and customer requirements. Communicate customer needs, priorities, and delivery requirements to appropriate internal teams. Monitor customer orders and follow up on items that may affect customer satisfaction or delivery commitments. Provide shipping notifications and other order-related communications to customers. Maintain accurate customer and order information. Assist with resolving customer issues and escalating concerns when appropriate. Develop a strong understanding of the company's manufacturing processes, products, lead times, and customer requirements. Work collaboratively with Customer Service, Production, Quality, Shipping, and Operations. Maintain a professional, organized, and safe work environment. Support company policies, procedures, and initiatives. Additional Responsibilities Assist with answering incoming telephone calls. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Assist other departments with customer-related information and order follow-up. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will have: Previous customer service experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with CNC machining, machine shops, aerospace, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing strongly preferred. Experience processing customer orders or working with order management systems. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal manufacturing teams. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple customer orders and priorities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to learn manufacturing terminology, processes, and customer requirements. Computer proficiency and the ability to learn company software and customer portals. Preferred Manufacturing Experience Experience in any of the following is highly desirable: CNC | Machine Shop | Precision Machining | Aerospace | Semiconductor | High-Tech Manufacturing | Contract Manufacturing | Production | Manufacturing Operations | Order Management Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
