In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. Your responsibilities will include operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, assisting customers with their inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. We value individuals who are passionate about retail and have a knack for sales. Duties Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently for customer transactions. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Assist in merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized store environment. Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge and encourage sales. Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales. Handle cash transactions with precision while adhering to cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the checkout area and throughout the store. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Supervising experience is a plus, as you may be required to assist in training new staff. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse customer base. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product stocking practices is beneficial. A friendly demeanor with a genuine interest in helping customers find what they need.
