Job Description
Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support clients in Irvine, California. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving service environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, responsive support across the full customer experience. The person in this role will manage inquiries, coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues, and help ensure orders, deliveries, and account requests are handled with care and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer inquiries through phone and other communication channels, providing prompt and attentive support for service-related needs.
- Take ownership of customer issues from initial contact through final resolution, partnering with internal departments to ensure timely follow-up and clear communication.
- Process order-related activities accurately, including order entry, customer account support, shipping coordination, and delivery updates.
- Use multiple internal applications throughout the workday to research information, document activity, and maintain service accuracy.
- Escalate recurring service concerns or unresolved issues to leadership with clear, timely feedback.
- Support inbound and outbound customer communication to address requests, provide updates, and strengthen client relationships.
- Contribute to assigned projects and provide additional operational support as business demands require.
- Work additional hours when needed to help meet service levels, order deadlines, or team priorities. Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume customer service or customer relationship environment.
- Background in a manufacturing or order management setting, including exposure to shipping, delivery coordination, account setup, and issue resolution.
- Some college coursework required; a bachelor's degree in a science or related field is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams and with customers.
- Excellent attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and follow-through when managing customer requests.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general PC-based office tools.
- Strong problem-solving, listening, and basic math skills, including the ability to review invoices or order-related information.
