Job Overview We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Customer Service & Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our shop—assisting customers, answering product questions, maintaining store cleanliness, and managing point-of-sale (POS) transactions. No prior smoke shop experience is required, but basic product familiarity and a passion for great customer service are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement:

Greet incoming customers with a warm, welcoming attitude and assist them in finding products that suit their needs.

Product Education:

Learn and explain various product categories (e.g., glassware, vaporizers, disposables, rolling papers, CBD/Hemp products, accessories, and maintenance items).

Age Verification:

Strictly enforce state and federal age requirements (21+) by checking valid photo IDs for every age-restricted sale without exception.

Cashiering & POS Operations:

Handle cash and card transactions accurately using our POS system, process returns, and maintain balanced registers.

Inventory & Restocking:

Unbox shipments, organize backstock, restock shelves/display cases, and assist with inventory counts.

Store Maintenance:

Keep product display cases clean, dust glass shelves, sweep/mop floors, and ensure a neat, professional retail environment.

Upselling & Recommendations:

Offer complementary products and inform customers of current promotions or loyalty programs.

Qualifications & Requirements Age:

Must be 21 years or older (required by law for tobacco/vapor retail).

Experience:

1+ years of retail, customer service, or cashier experience preferred.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with smoke shop culture, glass, vaporizers, CBD, or related products is a strong plus, but willingness to learn is required.

Communication Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Reliability:

Punctual, trustworthy, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 30-40 lbs (for inventory stocking).

Pay:

$17.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 17.0 per week
