In this vital role, you will coordinate transportation activities, manage freight logistics, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your energetic approach will ensure efficient dispatching, timely deliveries, and seamless communication with clients and carriers alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our supply chain operations, contributing to the smooth flow of goods and outstanding service delivery. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule shipments using transportation management systems Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, vendors, and customers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional phone etiquette Monitor GPS and GIS data to track fleet movements, provide real-time updates, and adjust dispatch plans as needed for efficiency Enter data accurately into systems like AS400 and transportation management platforms to maintain up-to-date records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory status Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including freight documentation, warehouse coordination, and inventory management Utilize analysis skills to troubleshoot logistical issues, identify delays or discrepancies, and implement solutions promptly Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, freight status updates, and customer interactions to support ongoing supply chain improvements Skills Proficiency with computer use, Excel, and Gmail Experience with freight logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management operations Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette for engaging with clients and carriers Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) providers and supply chain processes Knowledge of analysis techniques for troubleshooting dispatch issues or optimizing routes Join us in a role where your energy fuels our logistics excellence!
