Job Description
Financial Client Service Associate Position Summary Mosher Financial Advisors (MFA), a well-established and highly respected financial planning firm located in Lafayette, California, is seeking a motivated individual to join our collaborative team. The Financial Client Service Associate will support the firm's Financial Planners while delivering exceptional day-to-day service to clients. This role also partners closely with other team members to ensure office operations and administrative processes run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in financial client services, a working knowledge of investment account types, and a basic understanding of retirement account distributions, account transfers, and financial account paperwork. Recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field will also be considered. Compensation The Financial Client Service Associate position offers a competitive annual base salary ranging from $52,000 to $63,000 . In addition, MFA contributes 12% of your total annual compensation (approximately $6,240 to $7,560 ) directly to the company's retirement plan on your behalf. This employer contribution is 100% immediately vested . Paid Time Off Benefits Five paid sick days annually, if needed. Paid vacation days beginning after completion of 6 months of full-time employment. Key Responsibilities (training will be provided in many of these areas) Client Service Provide administrative, non-advisory support by gathering client information and responding to client inquiries and requests. Open new client accounts and maintain existing accounts. Complete and process account forms, ensuring documents are prepared and sent for signatures promptly. Handle client and firm transactions, including asset transfers, cash transfers, beneficiary updates, and account re-registrations. Schedule, coordinate, and organize review materials for client meetings. Financial Planner Support Prepare materials for client meetings, including reports, investment summaries, money movement diagrams, and required forms. Complete follow-up tasks resulting from client meetings. Conduct research and analysis as requested. Prepare and distribute client communications as needed. Administrative Support Collaborate with team members to support the firm's day-to-day administrative operations. Maintain records for both active and former clients, coordinate document storage, and update internal tracking systems for accurate record retrieval. Assist with compliance activities, including audit preparation and completion of required post-audit actions. Track monthly production and terminations and produce reports. Provide backup phone coverage when necessary. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Two or more years of administrative assistant and/or client service experience; experience in financial planning or the securities industry is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are required (including data entry basic formulas, formatting, adjusting cells, linking cells in multiple worksheets). Experience with CRM software and the ability to quickly learn industry-specific technology. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated initiative and strong problem-solving abilities. Maintain a commitment to improving work quality overtime and ensuring accuracy. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and committed to working collaboratively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a small business environment.
