About the Role The Heavy Equipment Parts & Service Advisor supports the Equipment Superintendent in the day-to-day operation of the equipment department by coordinating preventive maintenance, managing parts procurement and inventory, overseeing shop and yard operations, and ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and available for field operations. This position serves as a primary liaison between vendors, mechanics, and field personnel while helping supervise shop employees and maintaining accurate equipment records. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Order parts, shop supplies, and equipment materials from approved vendors.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair schedules for company equipment.
- Maintain equipment service records, work orders, and data entry.
- Assist with inventory control and stock levels for parts and supplies.
- Support the daily operation of the equipment yard and maintenance shop.
- Communicate with mechanics, vendors, and field personnel regarding equipment needs and repairs.
- Assist with California emissions reporting and equipment compliance requirements, including DOORS, PERP, and other applicable reporting programs.
- Help oversee shop employees by assigning work, monitoring workflow, and promoting safe work practices.
- Assist with equipment movement, deliveries, and other operational needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
