Job Description
VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is looking for a part-time Client Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, able to connect with people, and reliable. Previous experience in a veterinary hospital is a bonus! VCA Loomis Basin is a 24/7 emergency, specialty and general practice hospital. Our specialties include Oncology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiography, Critical Care, and Specialty Surgery. As a 24/7 hospital, we are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service when owners are in distress and able to approach situations with a listening ear and empathy. VCA Loomis Basin is a quirky group of people who genuinely enjoy caring for our patients. We strive to create a workplace that is fun, safe, and rewarding. Our goals are that our associates feel seen and heard and that our clients leave feeling they received the best care for their furry family members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greeting visitors Answering telephones Scheduling and confirming appointments Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments Answering questions regarding services and cost Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondenceQUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others' reactions
- Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action
- The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
