is a nonprofit business in Sacramento that has been administering energy efficiency incentives and rebate programs along with contractor networks for over 80 years. The offered role is an entry-level position suited for individuals who are looking for opportunities for increased responsibility and professional growth. Under the oversight of the Manager of Utility and Government Services, successful candidates will be responsible for administrative tasks including the accurate and thorough review of documentation, high-quality customer service and client support, and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate must be capable of strong and effective communication, implementing changes quickly and effectively, and balancing the demands of providing excellent customer support while adhering to program policy.
Responsibilities and Duties Customer Support:
Handle incoming and outgoing calls for various rebate programs. Provide excellent customer service, while being able to multitask at a high level. Assist customers with their applications, answer their questions, provide website support, and handle their concerns. Have a strong attention to detail and accurately provide information to customers. Use a web-based customer contact center and be comfortable navigating the dashboard and using its functions.
Rebate Processing:
Verify information, operate data entry devices and prepare documents. Process account information, customer information, and a variety of other forms of documentation by resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures. Assess data for errors and request additional or supplemental information if an application is found to be incomplete. Recognizing and reviewing data entered for accuracy in accordance with program protocols and guidelines. Have strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving capabilities. Education & Qualifications High School Graduate A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible office experience with customer service Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word and Outlook. Familiarity with programs and processes to support customer and client interactions such as multi-line call centers, live chat and email. Experience with Windows-based programs and software (Microsoft office suite including Word and Excel, Adobe reader/Pro), and internet research through search engines (Google) or web navigation. Required Skills Type 60 words per minute (WPM) Have strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Proven ability to multi-task as shown in previous work experience. Proven ability to critically assess data, and employ critical thinking in the administration of tasks. Consistently high scoring in assessments of time-management, customer service and other areas of support.
