Business Casual Schedule Details Monday-Friday, full shift Team operates on a 3-week rotating schedule Flexibility with start times is required Typical start times will range between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Must be comfortable working a full shift based on the assigned schedule About the Opportunity We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Customer Service Center Associate to support a busy customer service operation for a large utility services organization in San Dimas. This role is responsible for assisting customers with account questions, service requests, payments, billing concerns, online account access, and service-related issues. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, navigating multiple computer systems, handling sensitive customer information, and communicating professionally with both customers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries and service requests through multiple communication channels. Research customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and address billing and service concerns. Assist customers with online self-service tools, electronic payments, and account access. Process customer payments accurately and assist with daily cashier reports and deposits. Process new customer applications and renewals for various utility-related programs and services. Dispatch service and trouble calls to field service personnel accurately and efficiently. Research and monitor field service orders and follow up on outstanding requests. Track performance metrics and service requests to ensure timely resolution. Analyze and edit meter reading information and complete appropriate follow-up. Assist with meter reading software, mobile devices, and related technology. Communicate emergencies such as water outages, main breaks, and other service issues to appropriate management and departments. Explain billing information, regulations, rates, and service procedures to customers. Provide support and guidance to newer team members as needed. Assist internal staff with customer service and workforce management systems. Complete quality assurance and audit activities as assigned. Maintain accurate customer records and documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of professional customer service experience or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in a utility, telecommunications, service, contact center, or other comparable customer-focused environment preferred. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and general Windows-based applications. Comfortable learning and navigating multiple customer information and service management systems. Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, regulations, and rate information. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling account information and payments. Basic math skills with the ability to calculate figures and reconcile account information. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments based on urgency and customer needs. Ability to work effectively with customers, coworkers, field personnel, and management. Bilingual skills may be preferred or required depending on assignment. Candidates must be comfortable with the rotating schedule and flexibility in start times. The role may involve periods of sitting, typing, reading, writing, speaking, listening, walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and other physical activities associated with a customer service and field-service support environment.
