Customer Service Representative

Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to provide on-site support for a one-day event in San Francisco, California. This is a Contract position focused on welcoming attendees, managing registration activity, and helping deliver an organized, detail-oriented experience throughout the event. The ideal candidate is confident in customer-facing settings, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can assist guests with accuracy and courtesy.

7:30AM-11:30AM (4 hours only)

Responsibilities:

• Welcome attendees upon arrival and guide them through the event check-in process with efficiency and courtesy.
• Manage registration table activities, including verifying participant information and supporting smooth entry flow during peak arrival periods.
• Assist legal staff and other guests with questions related to event access, schedules, or registration-related materials.
• Distribute applicable course credit or event documentation at the registration area accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a high standard of service that reflects the formal and detail-oriented nature of the event environment.
• Coordinate with on-site event contacts to address attendee needs and resolve minor registration issues quickly.
• Handle paper-based check-in procedures carefully and ensure attendee records are organized throughout the assignment.
• Support overall front-of-house operations to help create a seamless experience for participants from arrival through registration. Requirements
• Prior experience in customer service, event support, front desk operations, or call center environments.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to assist attendees in a courteous and attentive manner.
• Comfortable working on-site in a business setting while maintaining a neat appearance.
• Ability to stay organized and attentive while managing a high volume of guests during busy check-in periods.
• Capable of following manual, paper-based registration procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reliable availability for a one-day contract assignment with a minimum four-hour commitment.
• Experience handling inbound or outbound customer interactions, order entry, or general service coordination is preferred.
