Job Description
Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support customers through clear, thoughtful service in San Francisco, California. This is a Contract position focused on helping callers move through the application process with confidence, accuracy, and a strong first-contact experience. The ideal candidate brings a steady call center presence, listens carefully, and responds in a way that keeps each interaction productive and customer-centered.
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming customer calls with professionalism, providing helpful guidance and resolving questions without making customers feel rushed.
- Review customer information carefully and complete forms accurately to improve first-pass completion and reduce the need for follow-up.
- Manage both inbound and outbound communication to address pending items, gather missing details, and keep applications moving forward.
- Maintain dependable on-queue coverage during scheduled hours, including consistent availability from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Enter orders and customer updates into internal systems with strong attention to detail and timely documentation.
- Monitor open cases and take action to prevent applications from remaining unresolved or delayed under your workload.
- Apply coaching and feedback quickly when quality concerns are identified, demonstrating adaptability and continuous improvement. Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or a call center environment is not required.
- Ability to manage inbound and outbound calls while maintaining a courteous and efficient communication style.
- Experience with order entry or accurate data input in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing forms and recording customer information.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to remain consistently available during assigned hours.
- Comfortable receiving direction, responding to coaching, and adjusting performance as needed.
- Effective verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity, patience, and customer support.
