• Almaden Valley, San Jose Part-Time We're looking for a warm, energetic, and dependable person to help run our farmstand and create a wonderful experience for everyone who visits the farm.

This role is much more than ringing up purchases. We want someone who enjoys talking with people, takes pride in making things look beautiful, and can help turn a quick stop for tomatoes or eggs into a personal and memorable farm experience. What you'll do Sort, inspect, weigh, and package freshly harvested fruits and vegetables for sale Set up and maintain an attractive, abundant-looking farmstand display Keep produce organized, fresh, clean, and well presented throughout the day Greet every customer warmly and make them feel genuinely welcome Talk with customers about what we're growing, what's especially good that week, and how they might use unfamiliar produce Help customers select products and make thoughtful recommendations Ring up purchases and handle customer transactions Restock products and keep the farmstand clean and inviting Help create the friendly, personal experience that makes people want to come back to the farm Assist with opening and closing the farmstand Who we're looking for The right person is naturally friendly and comfortable starting conversations with people. You should genuinely enjoy customer interaction rather than simply being willing to do it.

You are someone who:

Is outgoing, warm, and enthusiastic Notices when something doesn't look right and fixes it without being asked Has a good eye for presentation and enjoys making displays look beautiful Is careful and thoughtful when handling and packaging produce Is comfortable learning about seasonal fruits, vegetables, and other farm products so you can confidently talk about them with customers Is dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Is comfortable working outdoors and being on your feet Can safely lift and carry boxes of produce and other farmstand supplies Enjoys children, families, animals, and the sometimes-busy environment of a working farm Experience in a farmstand, farmers market, retail, hospitality, food service, gardening, or agriculture is helpful, but personality and attitude matter more to us than previous farm experience . We can teach you about our produce and how the farmstand operates. What we're really looking for is someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and takes pride in making their visit special. About Ray of Sunshine Farm Ray of Sunshine Farm is a small diversified farm in Almaden Valley. We grow seasonal fruits and vegetables, raise farm animals, and welcome local families to the farm through our farmstand and educational farm experiences. Our goal is for people to leave with more than something delicious to eat. We want them to feel connected to the farm, to the food we're growing, and to the people behind it.
