your responsibilities will include:

assisting customers in selecting the perfect yarn and materials for their projects (including basic math and understanding of yarn weights, gauge, and reading labels) providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service and cultivating an inviting atmoshpere learning or demonstrating existing skills in knitting and/or crocheting to support customer needs maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting shop environment stamping bags, restocking merchandise, checking in orders, customer communications, etc. taking direction well and contributing to a collaborative team setting demonstrating a growth mindset with an eagerness to learn new skills qualifications: understand how to sell without selling be able to see what needs to be done, understand the flow of the shop, and take ownership over your work must know how to knit and be able to help customers with basic knitting help knowledge of and passion for knitting and crocheting professionalism in working with the public a desire to serve people and be helpful previous customer service or retail experience ability to work harmoniously as part of a team strong communication and interpersonal skills
