Your Mission You deliver exceptional community banking experiences by being the first point of contact for every customer who walks through our doors. The Day to Day On a daily basis, you will manage a variety of customer interactions across multiple channels, including face-to-face engagement, phone calls, and secure chats. You will handle everything from basic deposits and withdrawals to the more complex nuances of opening new accounts or managing sensitive account maintenance. Throughout the day, you will collaborate closely with your supportive team, monitoring branch traffic to ensure a seamless experience and working with internal experts to facilitate warm hand-offs for specialized services like loans or wealth management. What you bring to High Plains Bank Experience and Qualifications Banking experience preferred Previous experience in a customer-facing role Cash-handling experience High School Diploma or equivalent Essential Skills and Knowledge Basic banking knowledge and a fundamental understanding of financial transactions. Strong active listening skills to understand both verbal and non-verbal customer needs. High level of integrity in handling cash, sensitive documents, and customer privacy. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely across in-person and digital channels. Desirable Skills and Knowledge Specific industry knowledge regarding personal deposit accounts and small business services. Familiarity with digital banking tools and the ability to help customers transition between physical and digital channels. Responsibilities of the position
Customer Engagement:
Serve as the friendly face of the branch by building genuine relationships and accurately processing transactions while acting as a financial coach to help customers reach their goals.
Local Banking Champion:
Act as an expert on all bank products and services to support customers through every stage of their lives, from opening accounts to adopting digital tools, while working with internal teams to keep their assets safe.
Effective Communication:
Build trust and rapport with customers by listening closely to their needs and responding with empathy, clarity, and respect across all channels, including in-person, phone, and digital chat.
Problem-Solve and Collaborate:
Take ownership of customer needs by finding solutions or connecting them with the right internal experts, while monitoring branch traffic to ensure every visitor receives timely and professional support.
Efficiency and Quality:
Take full ownership of work by handling cash and private data with high integrity, staying updated on bank policies to prevent fraud, and constantly looking for ways to improve skills and the bank's processes.
