Job Description

Job Summary The Customer Service Representative l is responsible for handling customer interactions in a professional manner. They assist customers with inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions while maintaining standards for customer satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answers/responds to phone calls
  • Assist visitors
  • Read and respond to customer emails
  • Cashiering
  • Processes payments for the city
  • Helps to educate customers on utilities and city processes
  • Issues service orders to send to other departments
  • Handling and resolving customer issues promptly, aiming to provide a positive experience Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic
  • Thorough knowledge of the organization and functions of the department and of general administrative policies and practices
  • Ability to keep office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources
  • Ability to perform and organize work independently
  • Ability to type and transcribe dictation at a reasonable rate of speed
  • Skill in the operation of personal computer equipment and related office software
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public
  • Possess exceptional listening skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Microsoft office skills
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED; 0 to 2 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities and other competencies necessary for the position.
Licenses, Certifications, Special Requirements:
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required
