Automotive Service Advisor/Writer Family-Owned European Auto Repair Shop | Clermont, FL Monday-Friday | No Weekends We're a family-owned and operated European automotive repair shop in Clermont, looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. If you enjoy working with people, have a strong understanding of automotive repair, and take pride in providing honest, professional service, we'd love to meet you. We work on a variety of European makes, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, MINI, Volvo, Land Rover, and even some exotics . We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable about automotive service and can confidently communicate repair needs and recommendations to our customers. What You'll Do Greet customers and provide a friendly, professional service experience. Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and service needs. Write detailed repair orders and communicate customer concerns clearly to technicians. Review technician findings and explain recommended repairs and maintenance to customers in an easy-to-understand manner. Prepare accurate estimates and obtain customer authorization before work is performed. Communicate with customers throughout the repair process and provide updates on vehicle status, additional repairs, and completion times. Coordinate with technicians and parts suppliers to keep repairs moving efficiently. Review completed repairs with customers and explain work performed. Recommend maintenance and repairs based on vehicle condition, manufacturer recommendations, and technician findings. Help maintain a smooth workflow between customers, technicians, parts, and management. Provide exceptional customer service while helping build long-term customer relationships. Follow up with customers as needed regarding estimates, declined work, and completed services. What We're Looking For Previous experience as an Automotive Service Writer, Service Advisor, or similar customer-facing automotive position. Strong understanding of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair. European vehicle experience is preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to explain automotive repairs and recommendations clearly to customers without using excessive technical jargon. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable preparing estimates and discussing repair costs with customers. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
