PM, M-F Rate of Pay :

$18-20 per hour starting pay

A. OBJECTIVE

This is an entry-level, Customer Service position involving regular interaction with members of the public and Water Service Members both in person and over the phone. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and promoting the smooth operation of the System by ensuring positive member relations through courteous and professional service provided to members. This position reports directly to the Customer Care Supervisor.

B. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Personally performs the following duties daily: Frequently receives and processes applications for Water Service on the System. Occasionally assists members with terminating Water Service Account Frequently receives and processes payments on Water Service accounts. Frequently receives and responds to Customer Service Requests either in-person, over the phone or via email through a shared Customer Care account. Frequently creates and issues work orders for new service to other Department personnel. Possesses the ability to complete assigned duties, i.e. Issuing Work Orders, Processing Applications for service, responding to Customer Service requests, completing Time Sheets electronically. Assists co-workers with maintaining a clean front counter environment.. Possesses the ability to learn tasks and perform them without constant supervision. Exercises good judgement in all situations. Attempts to deescalate when possible. Possesses the ability to operate computer-based systems i.e., Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel, Billing System Software, Work Order management software, Internet-based sites necessary for processing new applications, to use on the job and with job related training. Shows Initiative, i.e., Show up on time, be willing to make suggestions that might improve Customer Service, render assistance to co-workers, when necessary, without being instructed to do so.

C. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Must provide Proof of U.S. Citizenship or proof of the right to remain and work in the U.S. Must possess Valid Florida Driver's License Must possess Florida approved High School Diploma

WORK SCHEDULE

AWS is open to the public Monday through Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00 PM, closed every other Friday. Normal work hours are 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. Auburn Water employees work a 9/80 work schedule. In addition to having every other Friday off, AWS provides employees with paid holidays, Vacation time and Sick leave accruals as part of the benefits package.
