Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this vital role, you will coordinate transportation operations, manage dispatching, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth road transportation activities, efficient communication with drivers and clients, and adherence to regulations. Duties Coordinate and schedule vehicle dispatches using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software Manage incoming customer inquiries via multi-line phone systems, providing timely updates on arrival status and schedules Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during all dispatching activities Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate shipping & receiving processes and optimize logistics workflows Monitor GPS and data to track vehicle locations, plan routes, and improve transportation efficiency Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal departments through phone calls and internal communication. Skills Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and multi-line phone system handling Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Data entry expertise with attention to detail; familiarity with analysis skills for route optimization and freight tracking Experience with GPS technology and fleet management tools Strong internal communication skills for effective coordination across departments involved in logistics operations Requirements
