Overview We are seeking a warm, friendly, and dependable Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist / Customer Service Assistant to join our dance studio team. Our front desk is often the first impression families have of our studio, so we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with parents, children, and families and understands the importance of making everyone feel welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of. This role is perfect for someone who is personable, organized, positive, and able to communicate well in a busy environment. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our dancers and their families while assisting with registrations, schedules, questions, payments, phone calls, and general front-desk responsibilities.
Schedule:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 4:00-9:30pm Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm Responsibilities Warmly greet dancers, parents, and visitors as they enter the studio and help create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Build positive relationships with dance families and provide helpful, professional customer service. Assist parents with questions regarding classes, schedules, registrations, tuition, uniforms, performances, and studio activities. Answer phone calls, text messages, and general inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Assist new families who are interested in classes and help guide them through the registration process. Check students in for classes and assist with basic attendance and front-desk procedures. Process payments and assist families with account-related questions when needed. Communicate important studio information, reminders, and schedule updates to parents. Help keep the lobby and reception area organized, welcoming, and presentable. Assist instructors and studio management with basic administrative and organizational tasks. Handle multiple conversations and responsibilities while remaining calm, friendly, and attentive. Qualifications Friendly, welcoming, and comfortable communicating with both adults and children. Strong customer service and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to multitask. Comfortable working in an active environment with children, parents, music, and ongoing classes. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn studio registration and scheduling software. Previous receptionist, customer service, childcare, dance studio, school, or administrative experience is helpful but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable. A positive attitude and willingness to become part of our studio community are very important. What We're Looking For More than anything, we are looking for someone who understands that the front desk is about people. We want our dancers to feel excited when they arrive and our parents to feel that they are welcomed, heard, and supported. The ideal person will enjoy getting to know our families, answering questions, solving small problems, and helping create the warm, family-oriented atmosphere we want our studio to be known for. If you are friendly, dependable, enjoy working with families, and love being part of a positive and energetic environment, we would love to hear from you! I'd actually use this version on Indeed because it will attract someone who fits the culture of a dance studio, not just someone searching for clerical work.
