In this role, you will handle transactions accurately, assist customers with their needs, and promote a positive shopping experience. Your proactive attitude and excellent communication skills will help drive sales, ensure smooth operations, and foster customer loyalty. Whether managing the cash register or engaging with shoppers on the sales floor, you'll be at the heart of our retail environment, making each visit memorable and enjoyable. Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions quickly and accurately Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Handle cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity, including balancing registers at shift end Assist with inventory management through stocking and inventory counts to ensure product availability Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or follow-up calls Support grocery store operations by assisting customers in locating items and providing product information Engage customers with friendly communication skills to enhance their shopping experience and promote retail sales Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transaction processing Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing customer interactions Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, clear interaction both face-to-face and over the phone Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales strategies is advantageous Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while growing your skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
