Job Description

Job Summary A public-sector organization in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking 25 temporary Call Center Support Specialists to support voter services and election operations. This role is ideal for candidates with call center, customer service, administrative, receptionist, or data entry experience who enjoy helping the public, answering questions, and working in a structured office environment. As a Voter Services Call Center Support Specialist, you will play an important role in providing accurate, timely information to callers regarding voter registration, election dates, voting options, polling locations, precinct details, and related voter services. This opportunity offers meaningful public-service work, clear procedures, team collaboration, and guidance from experienced supervisors in a professional, business-casual setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls in a professional, courteous, and accurate manner.
  • Provide information regarding voter registration, election dates, voting methods, vote-by-mail, polling locations, precincts, and other voter services.
  • Research caller questions using agency systems, web-based applications, and approved resources.
  • Enter, update, verify, and maintain voter service information accurately in computer systems.
  • Document caller interactions according to established procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide administrative, clerical, and operational support for election-related activities as needed. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay:
    $22.00 per hour.
  • Job Type:
    Contract/Temporary.
  • Schedule:
    Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Assignment End Date:
    November 9, 2026.
  • Candidates must be available for the full assignment.
  • Extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.
  • Work environment: Professional, business-casual office setting.

  • Answer inbound voter services calls and provide accurate information to the public.
  • Research, verify, and enter information using computer systems and web-based tools.
  • Document caller interactions and maintain confidentiality of voter information.
  • Support administrative and clerical tasks related to election operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM required.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web-based applications, and data entry systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of calls while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn procedures quickly and follow established instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must successfully complete required background and drug screening.
  • Must have no planned interruptions in availability during the assignment.
  • Candidates must be new to this temporary assignment and cannot have previously worked a temporary assignment with the organization. Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of customer service, call center, administrative, receptionist, data entry, or comparable public-facing experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced call center or high-volume customer support environment preferred.
  • Experience handling confidential information in a professional office setting preferred.
  • Public-sector, government, election support, or community service experience is a plus.
