CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / ACCOUNT MANAGER
Enemy Inc. — Orlando, Florida
WHO WE ARE
Enemy Ink is an Orlando-based print shop built on punk rock, hard work and the idea that you don't have to act like a giant corporation to do world-class work. We make retail-ready merchandise for some of the world's top bands, brands and live events. We print it. Pack it. Ship it. Sell it. And sometimes take the whole operation on the road—or out to sea. We've been doing this since 2001. Enemy started with a single-station screen printing press bought on eBay to make shirts for our own band. It grew into a serious merchandise operation with automatic presses, fulfillment, e-commerce and live event production. We've gotten bigger. We haven't gotten corporate. Now we're looking for a Customer Service Representative. THE JOB Let's kill some HR language. We're not looking for a "rockstar," a "customer service ninja," or someone who wants to "leverage synergies in a dynamic environment." We need someone who is organized, smart, dependable and really good with customers. You'll be one of the people our customers rely on to get answers, solve problems and keep their orders moving. That means phones. Emails. Customers walking through the door. Orders. Spreadsheets. Scheduling. Proofreading. Paperwork. Data entry. Questions from production. Questions from customers. And occasionally figuring out what happened when something doesn't make sense. You'll need to communicate clearly and keep track of details. Because in our business, getting 999 shirts right and one shirt wrong still means something went wrong.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Answer customer questions by phone, email and in person. Handle a multi-line phone system without sounding like you're reading from a script. Communicate clearly, professionally and like an actual human being. Make sure customer questions get answered completely. Enter and maintain accurate customer, order and job information. Work with Microsoft Word, Excel, spreadsheets and other productivity software. Assist with QuickBooks and related administrative tasks. Help manage calendars, appointments and scheduling. Handle front desk responsibilities. Proofread orders, documents and information before mistakes become expensive. Organize files, paperwork and customer records. Process product orders and transactions accurately. Assist with inventory tracking when needed. Communicate with production and the rest of the Enemy crew to keep jobs moving. Help solve problems instead of simply pointing them out.
WHAT YOU NEED
You don't need to wear a suit. You do need to know what you're doing. We're looking for someone with previous experience in customer service, office administration, front desk work or a similar position. You should be comfortable with computers and genuinely know how to use them—not just have "Microsoft Office" listed on your résumé.
You should have:
Strong organizational skills. Solid Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Experience with spreadsheets and data entry. Good phone skills and professional phone etiquette. Strong written communication and proofreading skills. Serious attention to detail. The ability to manage several responsibilities at once. Good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize. Experience working in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly. The ability to work independently without needing someone standing over your shoulder. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred. Being bilingual is a plus. Experience in printing, apparel, merchandise, fulfillment, e-commerce, music or live events is great too, but not required.
WHAT DOESN'T WORK HERE
If you need every task handed to you one at a time, this probably isn't the job. If you're comfortable saying, "That's not my job," this definitely isn't the job. And if details aren't your thing, custom merchandise is a brutal place to find that out. We're not expecting perfection. We are expecting you to catch mistakes, ask questions when something doesn't look right and own your responsibilities. There is a difference between moving fast and being careless . We expect the first.
WHAT WORKING AT ENEMY IS ACTUALLY LIKE
We're not going to tell you we're a "family." We're a company. A company full of musicians, artists, printers, production people and merchandise nerds who take their work seriously. We believe you can be professional without being corporate. You can have tattoos and still answer an email properly. You can listen to punk rock and still know how to build a spreadsheet. You can have a personality and still show up on time. You can question how something has always been done—and still be responsible for getting it done correctly. Our customers include bands, artists, brands, bars, restaurants, tattoo shops, conventions and live events. Some need a few dozen pieces. Others need thousands. If you're organized, dependable, good with people and take pride in being really good at what you do, we'd like to hear from you. No corporate bullshit. No rockstar bullshit either.
