Customer Experience Associate / Cashier

Job Summary MeatTown Distributors is South Florida's premium meat retailer — the place serious home cooks, families, and grill enthusiasts come when they want the best. We carry USDA Prime, Certified Angus, Australian Wagyu, and a line of authentic Venezuelan specialty products (tequeños, morcilla, cachapas, chorizo) that no one else in Miami has. Our Palmetto Bay store just opened — and we're building a team that matches the quality of the product on our shelves. THE ROLE

This is not a traditional cashier position. At MeatTown, the person at the register is often the last — and most memorable — interaction a customer has with our brand. You are the final impression, the one who makes someone walk out smiling and already planning their next visit. You'll greet customers, process orders, handle the register, and most importantly — talk about the product with genuine knowledge and enthusiasm. When someone asks 'What's the difference between the Picanha Prime and the Angus?' you should have an answer that makes them buy both.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Greet every customer with energy — make them feel like they just walked into a place that cares Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently for in-store and online pickup orders Guide customers through the product selection — cuts, grades, Venezuelan specialties, weekly specials Process payments, manage cash and card transactions, and close out registers Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing checkout and front-of-store area Communicate daily specials, new arrivals, and promotions to every customer Help with packaging, labeling, and product presentation as needed Handle customer questions via in-store, phone, WhatsApp, and Instagram DMs when on shift Assist the team with restocking, inventory counts, and receiving deliveries Represent MeatTown's brand values in every single interaction — no exceptions

Experience at a premium food retailer: Wild Fork, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, a specialty butcher, or similar Knowledge of meat cuts, grades, or Latin American food culture (Venezuelan, Colombian, Argentine) Bilingual English/Spanish — a significant advantage serving our Miami customer base Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling A genuine interest in learning the product — cuts, sourcing, cooking methods Social media savvy — comfort being on camera for Stories or Reels is a plus

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
