Customer Service Dispatcher

We're looking for a highly organized, quick-thinking Dispatcher to support our expanding fleet of OTR drivers handling interstate moves nationwide. What You'll Do Dispatch and coordinate a fleet of approximately 6 over-the-road (OTR) drivers operating state-to-state across the U.S. Plan, assign, and adjust interstate routes to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries Act as the primary liaison between drivers, customers, and internal planners, ensuring clear and consistent communication Monitor driver progress across state lines and proactively address delays, route changes, or compliance concerns Provide customer service support by addressing and resolving issues that may arise during interstate moves Communicate proactively to ensure smooth pickups, transit, and final deliveries nationwide Review routes with planners to maximize efficiency, cost control, and driver utilization Assist drivers with work order updates, schedule changes, and real-time dispatch instructions Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment Maintain detailed dispatch records, notes, and follow-ups on open tasks and escalations What We're Looking For Previous over-the-road (OTR) dispatch (required) Household goods moving experience (a plus) Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Customer service mindset with problem-solving skills Solid understanding of U.S. geography and routing High attention to detail and follow-through Ability to stay calm and effective in high-pressure situations Why Join American Van Lines?
