Join the Edible Arrangements Valrico Team! We're looking for two energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented Fruit Experts with leadership potential to join our team! This is a fast-paced position that combines customer service, food preparation, sales, and store operations. Requirements:
Previous customer service experience is required. Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is required. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds . Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, specifications, and directions exactly. Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Fruit Expert, you will: Prepare and cut fresh fruit. Dip fruit in chocolate and decorate products. Build fruit arrangements, boxes, platters, boards, and other Edible products according to company standards. Provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone. Answer phones, take orders, and upsell products. Assist walk-in guests with purchases and recommendations. Maintain cleanliness throughout the entire store, including: Sweeping and mopping floors Wiping down counters and workstations Washing dishes and kitchen equipment Cleaning and stocking the restroom General cleaning and organization
Additional Expectations:
Closing shifts are often worked independently, so applicants must be comfortable managing the store alone while maintaining productivity and customer service. Due to the nature of the business, some shifts may be on-call or standby based on daily order volume. Attendance during our busiest seasons is mandatory. Employees are expected to work blackout dates and major holidays, including but not limited to: Valentine's Day (Long hours) Mother's Day (Long hours) Father's Day (Long hours) Thanksgiving (Closing at Noon) Christmas Eve (Closing at 4pm) Other peak business days
Pay:
This position pays a base wage of$10.98 per hour plus pooled tips. Team members earn approximately $15
•20+ per hour in combined base pay plus tips. Tips vary based on customer tipping, hours worked, and position level within our weighted tip pool. New hires will start at the trainee tipping rate and can earn a higher tip-pool weight as they complete training, demonstrate proficiency, and advance into positions with greater responsibility. Do you understand that certain holidays are our busiest time of the year and that working those holidays is mandatory? Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas Eve and Father's Day are our busiest holidays. We are closed Christmas Day and News Year's Day. This position plays an important role in creating a great customer experience and is often the main point of contact for customers by phone and in-store. Briefly describe any previous customer service experience and what makes you a strong communicator. After you complete your training, there may be times you are the only team member in the store responsible for answering phones, assisting in-store customers, preparing orders, completing closing procedures, and cleaning up for the day.
