In this vital role, you will serve as the communication bridge between our valued clients and our skilled technicians. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and estimating software will ensure accurate service documentation and seamless workflow. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Write detailed repair orders, including descriptions of issues, recommended services, and estimated costs using automotive estimating software. Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer concerns and clarify repair details. Upsell additional services or maintenance opportunities that benefit the customer while increasing dealership revenue. Manage client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and explaining repairs clearly. Assist with vehicle check-ins and ensure all necessary documentation is complete for smooth service flow. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while maintaining excellent customer relations. Requirements Proven experience as a Service Writer or in auto service management, with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Knowledge of mechanical systems such as transmissions, brakes, suspension, oil changes, air brakes, shocks & struts, tire service, and collision repair. Previous dealership experience or auto service environment preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Mechanical experience or background as a service technician is highly advantageous. Ability to upsell services confidently while prioritizing customer needs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in estimating and documentation processes. $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
