Job Description

Cashier/Customer Service Stone Mountain, GA 30088 $11.25 - $12.50 an hour - Part-time $11.25 - $12.50 an hour - Part-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining an organized and efficient checkout experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, particularly within a grocery store setting. Duties Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Maintain accurate cash drawers and perform regular cash reconciliations. Engage in upselling and product demonstrations to enhance customer experience and drive sales. Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding spaces. Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring customer satisfaction. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred. Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer service capabilities. Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of retail math concepts will be beneficial for inventory management and sales tracking.
