We're a collaborative small team in Watkinsville committed to excellence, compassion, and precision. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Transfer Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for facilitating account openings and transferring client assets into and between accounts with accuracy, professionalism, and timely follow-through. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable learning evolving processes, and communicates clearly with clients, custodians, and internal teammates. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end transfer and account opening processes for new and existing clients, including paperwork preparation, submission, and tracking. Verify documentation, reconcile transfer instructions, and ensure all forms meet custodian and regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and resolve issues or delays (e.g., missing signatures, inaccurate account details, hold/restriction items) by researching and coordinating solutions. Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients by phone and email to collect required information, explain status, and provide updates. Coordinate with custodians, financial advisors, and internal teams to ensure smooth transfers and accurate account setup. Maintain clear, up-to-date records in CRM and operations systems; document actions and client communications thoroughly. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to management or appropriate internal partners promptly. Continuously learn and adapt to updated procedures, custodian rules, and compliance requirements. Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in transfers, client service, operations, or similar roles within financial services, custodial operations, or wealth management preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication skills — clear, polite, and patient over phone and in writing. Proactive problem-solver who follows through until resolution. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with CRM or custodial platforms is a plus. Bachelor's degree required - finance, business, or related field preferred. Series licenses not required but a plus if held.
