Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Adviser/Manager to lead our automotive service department with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Provide detailed vehicle inspections, explain repair options clearly, and recommend necessary services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, transmissions, suspension work, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repairs, and collision repairs. Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates while upselling additional services that enhance vehicle safety and performance. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards. Manage the entire service process from vehicle check-in to delivery, including service writing and client communication throughout the repair cycle. Oversee dealership service operations by supervising staff, managing workflow, handling cash transactions responsibly, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Drive sales through effective customer engagement and upselling techniques while maintaining excellent customer service relationships. Use computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools for accurate assessments of collision damage or repair needs. Maintain detailed records of all services performed; ensure proper documentation for warranty purposes and future reference. Stay informed about automotive industry trends such as automotive diagnostics, auto estimating techniques, transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair methods, tire services, alignment procedures, suspension systems, shocks & struts replacement, brake systems repair, air brake systems maintenance, diesel engine troubleshooting, and automotive repair best practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Adviser or Service Manager within an automotive dealership or repair shop environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic preferred. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Demonstrated ability in auto sales and upselling additional services effectively. Knowledge of dealership operations including service writing, collision repair processes, auto body repairs, alignment procedures, tire services, transmission repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, brake repairs (including air brakes), diesel engine diagnostics & repairs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle cash transactions responsibly.
