Job Overview
- Provide court orientation and information about the judicial system, civil protection orders, legal proceedings, investigative procedures, statues and victim's rights to clients as necessary.
- Assist clients with safety planning, identifying options, and problem solving (including facilitating shelter screens when necessary)
- Provided victim defined advocacy as it pertains to coordinating with law enforcement, prosecutors, health and welfare, and other agencies as needed.
- Assist clients with petitions for civil protection orders and provide court support at extension hearings.
- Attend DV court hearings as needed, to include the following: First appearances, probation review hearings, no contact order hearings, pre-trial conferences, pre-liminary hearings and sentencing hearings.
- Work with clients by phone, in individual meetings, and in court.
- Provide information and referrals about legal resources, community resources and Safe Passage services.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, including resources, referrals and support to clients.
- Document all client services/support/interactions, trainings, and meetings in client database accordingly. General Direct Services
- Provide hotline coverage for the purposes of supporting the team and supporting clients across programs.
- Provide office coverage by answering the door and assisting walk-ins for the purposes of supporting the team and supporting clients across programs.
- Assist clients with safety planning, identifying options, and problem solving across programs.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
