Job Description

Salary Range for 18 and over is $15.00 - $19.84 Minimum Starting Wage for 16 is $13.00 The Customer Service Representative is in many instances the first impression the local community members and guests see when they visit our facilities. This position is a part of promoting wellness, health, and fitness. You will receive training in industry standard management software, administrative duties, and processing finances.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Greet customers and guests promptly in a friendly and professional manner as they come in and as they leave. Responsible for assisting members and guests with registration process, payment, membership, facilities, facility rentals, parks, etc. in a timely fashion. Accept and process program, facility and membership registrations and any transfer, suspension, and cancellation request. Answer telephone in a timely and courteous manner with messages communicated promptly. Handle cash, check, or bank cards for payment. Making change accurately and reconciling. Manage the front counter operations including paperwork filing and maintaining guest records. Conduct CORE tours with patrons. Performs basic cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining and up-keeping tasks. Ability to multitask, be flexible and adaptable to new situations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older in compliance with Illinois Child Labor Laws and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Requires strong people, customer service and leadership skills. Skills in math, detail orientation, cash handling and computer preferred. CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
Work Environment:
The physical demands of this position are minimal, however active. Perform hand and arm movements as when working on a computer keyboard or calculator. Reading handwritten information and writing legibly. Job may include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, bending, or squatting. What WE Offer -
