Job Description

The client service representative is the first and last contact with the South Suburban Low Cost Veterinary Services Clinic and is key to creating first and lasting impressions. The client service representative must have exceptional client service and communication skills, be computer literate, handle payment and financial issues, have the ability to multi-task, project a friendly attitude and possess confidence to deal with stressful situations. Representatives support veterinarians, technicians, and veterinary assistants with daily patient and client care. They communicate with clients in person and by phone and email. They perform record keeping duties, perform clerical duties related to patient care and treatment, and provide miscellaneous support to the veterinary practice manager and health care team. These service functions include, but are not limited to, reception (visitor and telephone), maintenance of veterinary medical records, accounts maintenance, cash processing, and data entry. Must be comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes. Must be comfortable sitting, standing, kneeling for long periods of time and must be able to comfortably lift 25 lbs. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
