Job Description

$23/hour after training + overtime
Training Pay:
$20/hour $100 Weekly On-Time Bonus After Training We are looking for a dependable, organized person to join our school transportation office team. This position works closely with our lead dispatcher and helps with the day-to-day operation. You do not need transportation or dispatch experience. We will train you. The job is busiest during the morning and afternoon school rushes. During those times, you will be answering phones, communicating with drivers and families, monitoring rides, entering updates, and helping the team handle issues as they come up. The middle of the day is generally calmer while students are in school and is used for follow-up work, paperwork, calls, and preparing for the afternoon. Schedule The normal weekday start time is 6:00 AM , before the lead dispatcher arrives, so you can help get the day started and prepare for the morning rush.
Monday-Friday:
Approximately 6:00 AM-4:00/5:00
PM Sunday:
Approximately 12:00 PM-8:00
PM Saturday:
Off Sunday availability is an important part of this position, and you will be needed most Sundays . If you prefer not to work six days in a week, a weekday off can usually be accommodated. There are also opportunities for additional hours and overtime for employees who want to earn more.
Pay Training:
$20/hour After training: $23/hour $100 weekly on-time bonus after training Pay increase after 30 days for employees who are doing well Additional pay review after 6 months Overtime opportunities available Responsibilities Work closely with the lead dispatcher and other members of the team Help prepare the office for the morning school rush Answer incoming calls Communicate with parents, schools, drivers, and coworkers Monitor student rides and daily activity Help handle delays, changes, and problems as they happen Enter and update information accurately Use multiple computer programs throughout the day Complete follow-up calls, paperwork, and other office tasks Stay organized while handling several responsibilities at once What We Are Looking For Previous dispatch experience is not required . We are looking for someone who: Is dependable and consistently on time Is available to work most Sundays Works well with other members of a team Communicates well with customers and coworkers Can handle a fast pace during busy periods Is comfortable talking on the phone Has good computer and typing skills Learns new systems quickly Pays attention to details Stays calm and uses good judgment when problems come up Reliability, Sunday availability, and working well with the rest of the team are the most important parts of being successful in this position. The right person will have an opportunity to take on more responsibility, work additional hours, and increase their pay as they learn the position and perform well.
Pay:
$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 - 60.0 per week
