Customer Service Representative - Commerical Lines Insurance

Job Overview We are currently supporting our client in recruiting for an experienced Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to join their growing team. The right person will be self-driven, take ownership of their work, and take pride in developing strong client relationships while providing a superior level of service. This position plays an integral role between customers, carriers, and the internal team. The right person is confident in handling both servicing and quoting, is strong with the details, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Key Responsibilities 1. Client Service and Support Respond promptly to client and prospective client inquiries via phone, email, or in person Assist clients with policy-related questions, endorsements, and changes Prepare marketing submissions and new business quotes Provide accurate information regarding coverage, claims, and billing Process Certificates of Insurance and ID card requests Prepare pre-renewals and proposals Complete required client account reviews 2. Policy Administration Process policy renewals, endorsements, bonds, and cancellations Handle agency billing transactions and collect premiums prior to binding coverage Maintain accurate client records and documentation Monitor expiration reports and determine renewal or remarketing strategies Collaborate with underwriters, producers, and team members to ensure seamless service 3. Claims Assistance Guide clients through the claims process Communicate with insurance carriers to support timely claim resolution Demonstrate empathy and professionalism during challenging situations 4. Cross-Selling and Upselling Identify opportunities to offer additional coverage or products to existing clients Recommend relevant policies based on client needs 5. Compliance and Documentation Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies Maintain detailed records of client interactions and transactions Keep licenses current and complete continuing education requirements 6. Additional Duties Perform special projects and duties as assigned by leadership Qualifications 3-5+ years of Commercial Lines experience in an agency or brokerage Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license Experience with Applied Epic (preferred) or similar agency management system Ability to both service accounts and independently quote/market business Strong understanding of commercial coverages and policy structures Highly organized with strong attention to detail Self-starter who manages workload and priorities effectively Team-oriented with strong communication skills Comfortable interacting directly with clients

AA/EOE Pay:

$49,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
