Pay:

Schedule:

Monday

  • Friday | 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM, 6:00 AM
  • 2:30 PM, or 8:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM Occasional weekends and overtime as business demands
Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in trucking, logistics, dispatch, shipping/receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, or another industrial environment is preferred. Previous truck scale experience is helpful but not required.

Location Information:

The Sauget terminal is a multi-service marine and rail facility handling bulk, breakbulk, and liquid commodities including petcoke, cement, chemicals, and other materials. The site operates barge docks on the Mississippi River, railcar switching with unit train capability, warehouse operations, liquid storage tanks, and material handling systems. The facility is accessible by barge, truck, and rail via CPKC and UP. Job Summary The Scale Clerk/Customer Service Representative supports daily truck traffic and terminal operations at our Sauget facility. This position works directly with truck drivers, carriers, customers, and operations personnel to coordinate inbound and outbound loads, maintain accurate documentation and records, enter shipment and load information, and help keep traffic moving efficiently through the terminal. This is an onsite administrative and operational support role within an active industrial terminal that combines truck scale and terminal coordination, data entry, paperwork, and customer service. The Scale Clerk/Customer Service Representative provides timely, professional, and courteous support through phone, email, and in-person interactions while assisting internal teams with day-to-day operations. Success in this position requires strong communication, attention to detail, accurate recordkeeping, and a commitment to providing reliable customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing timely and professional support
  • Provide excellent customer service with patience, courtesy, and professionalism
  • Work closely with customers to ensure their satisfaction
  • Coordinate incoming orders with internal teams
  • Coordinate product delivery with outside carriers
  • Prepare accurate documentation and maintain required records
  • Perform accurate data entry, including dual verification of critical information when required
  • Provide general administrative support, including operating office equipment and maintaining organized files and records
  • Read, write, and communicate in English and perform basic math calculations to complete daily tasks accurately
  • Learn from feedback, directions, and observations and apply procedures using sound judgment
  • Contribute positively as part of a team, taking on additional tasks as needed
  • Maintain dependable attendance and consistent performance
  • Perform work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate and maintain a working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating Principles
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence
